The Linn rail set with trendy wood effect Track spotlights is ideal if you want to create a Japandi or Boho chic style. Japandi is derived from the Scandinavian style mixed with Japanese natural tones, which is clearly reflected in the design of this set. The combination of a Matt black fixture and oak wood effect gives a luxurious look that you can use in your living room, bedroom, kitchen or hallway. The great thing about this set is that it is a modular system. You can click the spotlights into place anywhere on the rails.

Adjusting and attaching the Track lighting

This set consists of 4 x 75 cm rails, including one connection block and four end caps, 3 x straight connectors and 1 x 90-degree connector, and mounting materials. With the included connectors, you can form a straight rail or create an L-shape. This leaves you with one connector. This extra connector is not included in the total price of the set and cannot be returned for a refund. The GU10 light source can be ordered separately. If you want to create a U-shape, order one extra 90-degree connector. To create a T-shape, you need to order oneT-connector. The Aluminium rail can be cut to size using a hacksaw and mitre box. The rail has pre-drilled holes for easy installation. Any additional holes can be drilled.

If the power connection is in the middle, you can order thedouble-sided connection block separately. Please note that the rail has a width of 3.4 cm. If the central box in the ceiling is wider than the dimensions of the rail, choose asquare cover platefor a neat finish.

Choosing the right GU10 light source

The track spotlights are complemented by a GU10 LED light bulb. This has the advantage that you can choose the lamp that best suits your situation. We have a wide range of GU10 bulbs and there are many options available. For example, you can choose a GU10 LED bulb with a narrow beam angle, allowing you to shine the light on a specific point in the room. Think of highlighting a work of art on the wall or the worktop in the kitchen. If you want to distribute the light more centrally, choose a wider beam angle. We also offer a choice of:

• 2700K GU10 bulbs: Warm white light colour, suitable for atmospheric catering establishments, the living room, kitchen and bedroom.
• 4000K GU10 bulbs: White light colour, suitable for spaces where good visibility is important, such as offices and meeting rooms. 
• Dim-to-warm GU10 bulbs: With these bulbs, the light colour changes from 2700K (warm white) to 2200K (extra warm white/candlelight). This gives you flexibility in the lighting effect. The extra warm white light is ideal when you want to create a cosy atmosphere, and the warm white colour can be both atmospheric and functional, for example when reading a book.
• 3-step dimmable GU10 bulbs: These bulbs have three light intensities and can be dimmed by pressing the on/off button several times (so you don't need a dimmer).
• Smart GU10 bulbs: A smart bulb that you can control with your smartphone. The app is free and is called 'Smart Life'. The app works on Android and iOS and is also compatible with Google Home and Amazon Alexa. Using the app, you can determine the colour and brightness of the spotlight and dim it.

The difference between a 1-phase and a 3-phase Track lighting system

With a single-phase track lighting system, all spotlights are connected to one group, making the track lighting more refined and suitable for consumer use. A three-phase track lighting system is more commonly used in shops and other commercial spaces. This track lighting is heavier and, in this case, the track spotlights can be switched on and off separately in three groups. If you want to be able to switch your lights on and off separately, you can also do this with the single-phase track if you usesmart GU10 bulbs.
