Put it together yourself

All the parts of our cabinet lighting can be ordered separately. This is handy if you want to add an extra spotlight to an existing setup, need a driver with a higher output, or know exactly which combination you want. You can also buy pre-assembled cabinet lighting sets: if you need several spotlights, this is usually cheaper.

The LED spotlights

There are four different models: square (Alina), rectangular (Apollo), elongated (Lex) and round (Kaya). Each model is also available with a built-in motion sensor. The spotlights are made from aluminium and polycarbonate, have a very slim profile and give off warm white light at 3000K. At 2.5W per spotlight, they provide a similar amount of light to around 27W of halogen: atmospheric and functional at the same time.

Drivers and connector box

The LED driver, also known as a transformer, supplies the spotlights with power. You can choose between 12V versions with a maximum output of 12W or 33W. Add up the wattage of all your spotlights and choose a driver that can handle the total. If you plan to extend your setup later, it is worth choosing a higher-output version from the start. You simply click the spotlights into the connector box using their connectors, so there is no need to strip any wires.

Sensors and dimmers

With a door sensor switch, the lighting comes on as soon as you open the cupboard door. You place the end of the sensor against the edge of the cupboard, where it detects whether the door is open or closed. A motion sensor switches the light on when you hold your hand underneath it, with a maximum detection distance of 15 cm. With a touch dimmer, you can adjust the brightness yourself. This means you can choose how you want to operate your cabinet lighting.
