Set the atmosphere smoothly

The advantage of dimmable bulbs is that you can adjust the brightness to suit the situation. This gives you more flexibility: full brightness when you are doing something, or softer light when you are relaxing in the evening. With a dimmable GU10 bulb, you can adjust the brightness smoothly rather than in fixed levels, giving you exactly the level of light you want.

You need a dimmer

You can dim these bulbs with an external dimmer, which you can also find in our range. For spotlights in the ceiling, a wall dimmer switch is the logical choice: you fit it where your existing switch is. Add up the load of all the spotlights on the circuit and check that it falls within the dimmer's range. With LED bulbs, the load can quickly fall below the lower limit, which may cause the lights to flicker.

Prefer without a dimmer?

If you do not want to change your wiring, a 3-step dimmable GU10 bulb is a handy choice. You dim it using the ordinary on/off switch, with three fixed brightness levels. Note that these bulbs are specifically not compatible with an external dimmer. So choose carefully: smooth dimming with a dimmer, or three fixed levels without one.
