The standard size
A bulb with a diameter of 60 mm fits most of our indoor and outdoor lamps. So if you are unsure which size you need, this is usually a safe choice. It is also the size commonly associated with traditional incandescent bulbs. Simply screw the E27 bulb into your fitting.
When do you choose a different size?
If you have a small glass globe or compact fitting, a 60 mm bulb may be too large. In that case, take a look at our 45 mm bulbs. If you have a large fitting with an open shade, or a cord pendant where the bulb is fully visible, an XL bulb can make more of a feature of the fitting.
Glass and filament
Choose clear glass for a brighter, more open look or amber glass for a warmer glow. Filament bulbs have a visible spiral-shaped filament, making them particularly suitable for open fittings and glass shades. You will find different filament styles, so you can choose the look that suits your lamp.
Dimming
The bulbs are available as standard dimmable, 3-step dimmable or dim-to-warm. Standard dimmable bulbs require an external dimmer, while 3-step dimmable bulbs can be controlled using the wall switch. Not found the right fitting yet? Take a look at our indoor lighting.
