This luminaire has a test button and self-test function. It performs a monthly 2-minute function test and an annual 3-hour duration test. You can also test the luminaire manually using the test button.
This luminaire is also available without an auto-test.
The luminaire comes with 4 pictograms with the following arrow directions: left, right, up and down. You can stick the pictogram that applies to your situation on the luminaire yourself. Please note:when walking straight ahead, you must affix the icon with the arrow pointing upwards to the fixture. Before affixing the icon to the fixture, it is best to first make a soapy solution and lather the shade of the fixture with it. When you then affix the icon to the fixture, you can easily smooth out any air bubbles under the sticker.
Additional pictograms
It is possible to order a separate set of 8 pictograms for this luminaire.
Installation
The LED emergency lighting can be mounted above doors, windows and on walls. In consultation with a specialist, you can determine how many locations require emergency lighting and how to mount it. Circles are marked on the back and 4 sides of the fixture that you can pierce. After drilling a hole, you can connect the wiring to the terminal block attached to the circuit board. This connects the fixture to the mains (230V). To make the hole resistant to water damage, you can install a PG9 strain relief in the drilled hole, through which you can then run the wiring. This protects the fixtures from water damage and also ensures that the cord cannot be disconnected from the terminal block.
Continuous or non-continuous
The fixture is equipped with 16 LEDs. The fixtures can be set to continuous (permanent lighting) or emergency (non-permanent or non-continuous emergency lighting). If the fixture is set to continuous, the light will also be on when there is no power failure. If you set the luminaire to non-continuous, the light will only switch on when the luminaire is no longer receiving power from the mains and will then remain on for at least 3 hours. Three hours is usually sufficient for employees and visitors to leave a building and also complies with legal standards.
CE certified
All our emergency lighting models are CE certified and comply with the standards and requirements applicable in Europe. The housing and diffuser are made of high-quality plastic.
