Would you like to equip your modern living room or kitchen with sleek lighting in multiple locations? Then the moss green Romain is a good choice. Combined with the Black base, this track lighting set fits well in a colourful environment. Use the track lighting system to create even light throughout your home or to provide more light in one corner. The great thing about this set is that it is a modular system. You can click the spotlights into place anywhere on the rails.

Adjusting and attaching the Track lighting

This set consists of 2 x 75 cm lighting tracks, including one connection block and two end caps, 1 x straight connector and mounting materials. The GU10 light source can be ordered separately. If you want to create a U-shape, order at least one extra rail and two 90-degree connectors. To create a T-shape, order one extra railand one T-connector. The Aluminium rail can be cut to size using a hacksaw and mitre box. The rail has pre-drilled holes for easy installation. Any additional holes can be drilled.

If the power connection is in the middle, you can order the double-sided connection block separately. Please note that the rail is 3.4 cm wide. If the ceiling junction box is wider than the rail, choose a square cover platefor a neat finish.

Choosing the right GU10 LED light source

The track spotlights are complemented by a GU10 LED light source. This has the advantage that you can choose the lamp that best suits your situation. We have a wide range of GU10 bulbs and there are many options available. For example, you can choose a GU10 LED bulb with a narrow beam angle, allowing you to shine the light on a specific point in the room. Think of highlighting an art object on the wall or the worktop in the kitchen. If you want to distribute the light more centrally, choose a wide beam angle. We also offer a choice of:

• 2700K GU10 bulbs:Warm white light colour, suitable for atmospheric catering establishments, the living room, kitchen and bedroom.
• 4000K GU10 bulbs: White light colour, suitable for spaces where good visibility is important, such as offices and meeting rooms. 
• Dim-to-warm GU10 bulbs: With these bulbs, the light colour changes from 2700K (warm white) to 2200K (extra warm white/candlelight). This gives you flexibility in the lighting effect. The extra warm white light is ideal when you want to create a cosy atmosphere, and the warm white colour can be both atmospheric and functional, for example when reading a book.
• 3-step dimmable GU10 bulbs: These bulbs have three light intensities and can be dimmed by pressing the on/off button several times (so you don't need a dimmer).
• Smart GU10 bulbs: A smart bulb that you can control with your smartphone. The app is free and is called 'Smart Life'. The app works on Android and iOS and is also compatible with Google Home and Amazon Alexa. Using the app, you can determine the colour and brightness of the spotlight and dim it.

The difference between a 1-phase and a 3-phase Track lighting system

With a 1-phase Track lighting system, all spotlights are connected to a single group, making the rail more refined and suitable for consumer use. A 3-phase Track lighting system is more commonly used in shops and other commercial spaces. This rail is more robust and, in this case, the Track spotlights can be switched on and off separately in three groups. If you want to be able to switch your lights on and off separately, you can also do this with the single-phase track if you usesmart GU10 bulbs.
