Filament bulbs create a beautiful lighting effect thanks to the spiral filament inside the bulb. Filament is a new development in LED technology. The bulbs resemble traditional incandescent bulbs and create an equally pleasant atmosphere. At the same time, you enjoy the advantages of LED: very low energy consumption and a long lifespan. This allows you to combine the best of both worlds.

Filament bulbs vary in style, colour, size and wattage. You will find light bulbs in different filament styles in our range, such as the croissant spiral, the double-decker filament and the horizontal spiral. Select the style that appeals to you most. You can choose from three glass colours: amber glass, clear glass, and smoked glass. Amber glass gives off a warm glow, while clear glass creates a fresh, light ambience. Smoke glass provides a dark tint.

The diameters of the filament bulbs vary between 45 mm and 200 mm. The light bulbs are available in the following dimensions: 

• Filament bulbs with a diameter of 45 mm
• Filament lamps with a diameter of 60/70 mm 
• XL light bulbs: these filament bulbs have a diameter of 95 mm, 160 mm or 200 mm.

How do you combine filament bulbs?

Filament lamps owe their popularity to their detailed finish. The filament in the lamp stands out and creates a beautiful lighting effect in the room. Filament lamps are therefore the ideal lamp when you want to give your fixture that little bit extra.

Pendant lights

Pendant lights often have an open design or offer plenty of space for the light source. A striking light source is then the ideal way to complete the fixture. With a filament lamp, you emphasise the style of your lamp and interior. This makes filament lamps a popular accessory in industrial or modern interiors.

Cord pendants

Cord pendants are trendy because of their simple and minimalist design. If you are looking for a subtle lighting accent, a cord pendant is a good choice. A filament lamp stands out even more in a cord pendant and contrasts nicely with the simple appearance of the cord pendant. Table lamps

This type of fixture is used in many places: in the bedroom, study or simply in the living room. As you might expect, a flexible fixture requires a flexible light source. Filament bulbs offer many possibilities. Their light effect is pleasant enough for the bedroom, but strong enough to work by. What's more, our filament bulbs are dimmable, allowing you to control the light intensity yourself.

Filament bulbs: dimmable

All filament bulbs are dimmable. This gives you flexibility in the lighting effect. Most bulbs are dimmable as standard. These bulbs can be dimmed with an external dimmer. If you do not want to use an external dimmer, the 3-step dimmable light source is a convenient choice. This light source can be dimmed by briefly switching the bulb on and off. Dimming this filament bulb is therefore easy and does not require an external dimmer. You can dim the brightness of the light source to 3 levels: 100% brightness, 50% brightness and 7% brightness.

We also offer Dim-to-warm filament bulbs, which allow you to dim the light colour from warm white light (2700K) to extra warm white light (2200K). These bulbs are ideal if you want to be able to create both warm mood lighting and whiter, more functional lighting.

How do I choose the right wattage?

The wattage, expressed in watts, determines how bright a light source shines. The lower the wattage, the less bright the light source shines. All light bulbs in our range (except for a number of Festoon lighting cable light bulbs) are dimmable as standard, which means you can adjust the brightness. So you don't have to worry about a light bulb being too bright. Are you specifically looking for strong, bright light? Then it is better to choose a higher wattage, such as 8 watts or 10 watts. You can always make the light from a dimmable light source less bright by dimming it, but you cannot make it brighter than the wattage of the light source itself.
