The filament inside the bulb, which looks like a thin vertical strip, emits coloured light. This ensures that the red light provided by the bulb shines true under all conditions. Products provided by some other suppliers tend to use a warm white filament, instead relying on a coloured cover to lend colour to their lights. This means that the coloured light provided by these bulbs is far less vibrant than that of our own filament bulbs.
