Everything that goes with it

For handy lighting accessories, you can turn to LumenXL too. Dimmers, switches, power strips and extension cables: we have them all in stock. After all, a beautiful lamp is only complete when it also does what you want, whether that means switching on when it gets dark, being dimmable or simply being safely connected. In this category, you'll find the accessories that make that possible.

Where do you find what?

Dimmers let you adjust the brightness gradually. Switches include dusk sensors, motion detectors and timers. Power strips and more include power strips, extension cables and outdoor sockets. Connection accessories include connection leads, underground power cables and connectors. And business lighting includes LED panels, emergency lighting and flush ceiling lights.

What to look for

With these accessories, the main thing is making sure they're suitable for your setup. Always check the maximum load a dimmer or switch can handle, and add up the wattage of all your lamps. If you're using something outdoors, check the stated protection rating (IP rating): IP20 is for indoor use only, while IP44 is splashproof and suitable for outdoor use. If you want to dim your lighting, always use dimmable bulbs, as an ordinary LED bulb isn't suitable for use with a dimmer.
