Warm, atmospheric light

For a warm, atmospheric look, choose a bulb with amber glass. Amber glass gives the light a warm glow, while clear glass gives a brighter, clearer look. Combined with a visible filament, amber glass creates a soft glow with a vintage feel.

Where does it come into its own?

Amber glass works best when you can see the bulb. That makes an E27 bulb ideal for open fittings, cord pendants and lamps with transparent glass. If your bulb is behind a closed or opal-white shade, the amber glass has less impact because you cannot see it. In an amber glass fitting, an amber bulb enhances the golden effect even further.

The filament is part of the design

Filament bulbs have a visible filament inside, which adds to their appearance when the bulb is on. Through the amber glass, the filament remains clearly visible. You will find different styles, including the croissant spiral, double-decker filament and horizontal spiral. Choose the style that suits your lamp.

Sizes and dimming
