Why choose a track spotlight with glass?
An ordinary track spotlight is mainly about directing light where you need it. Add glass, and the spotlight becomes a more decorative feature in its own right. The glass puts the bulb on display and adds warmth to the light, giving the spotlight a more atmospheric look. You get the flexibility of a track system with the character of a decorative lamp.
Amber or smoked glass?
Amber glass has a warm, honey-coloured hue that creates a cosy glow and works beautifully with a filament bulb. Smoked glass has a smoky grey tint, often with a mirrored effect, for a sleeker, more modern look. Both are usually combined with a black or gold-coloured housing. Alongside compact spotlights with glass, you will also find suspended track spotlights with glass, including round, wide and teardrop-shaped track pendant lights.
Combining on one track
All the components in our 1-phase range can be combined with each other. For example, combine a few glass spotlights for atmosphere with directed spotlights with a narrow beam angle to highlight a painting or worktop. This allows you to create a complete, balanced lighting scheme with just one track.
Which bulb do you choose?
The track spotlights with glass are fitted with a GU10 lamp holder, while the glass track pendant lights have an E14 lamp holder. The bulb is not included, so you can choose the look and brightness that suit you. As the glass keeps the bulb visible, a GU10 bulb with warm white light works particularly well. The lamp holder and compatible bulb size are always listed in the product details.
