The white, square surface-mounted spotlight LX008 is multifunctional thanks to the two lenses supplied. Two lenses are supplied as standard. You can choose between a round lens that is suitable for illuminating open spaces or a wide lens that is suitable for illuminating corridors. The spotlight is equipped with a 3-watt LED in the colour temperature 6000K, cool white, with a light output of 130 lumens and has a protection rating of IP20. The LX008 has a self-test, function test and endurance test. Please refer to the Manual for a detailed explanation of the various tests.
After the first 24 hours of charging, a full endurance test of three hours is performed. A self-test is performed on all products with a self-test and is performed after the first time the product is switched on. The fixture is equipped with a single two-colour LED indicator. This indicator is clearly visible for manual inspection and indicates the status of the module. The LED is permanently green or flashes green when conditions are normal. When the LED flashes red, there is a malfunction in the fixture.
The function tests are generated randomly and take place every 28 days. A function test is a 2-minute test that simulates a power failure and checks the operation of the emergency lighting from the battery power supply. The LED indicator flashes green slowly while the 2-minute function test is in progress. If a fault occurs during a function test, the local indicator light flashes red.
An endurance test simulates a power failure and takes place every 52 weeks. It also checks the operation of the emergency lighting from the battery power supply for the nominal duration of the module. The LED indicator flashes green rapidly while the endurance test is being performed. The battery must be fully charged before an endurance test can be started.
With a non-continuous connection, the light only comes on when the luminaire no longer receives power from the mains and then remains on for 3 hours on the battery. Three hours is usually sufficient for employees and visitors to leave a building and also falls within the legal standard.
