Where can I place a Solar wall lamp?
Solar wall lights can be placed in many places around the house. You can also install a Solar-powered wall light in places without a nearby power outlet. The Solar wall light can fulfil two functions: it can serve as mood lighting, but also as functional lighting. For example, you can place the lamp along a garden path, driveway or garage door. Here, the wall lamp will provide functional lighting and thus ensure a safe, well-lit environment. You can also choose to place the wall lamp on a fence or garden wall. Here, the lamp creates an atmospheric effect, especially when you place several in a row.
Why is a sensor useful?
All our Solar wall lights have a motion and light sensor. The lamp charges itself during the day. When it starts to get dark, the lamp will automatically switch on at low brightness. When motion is detected, the lamp will switch to high brightness. This ensures a safe environment around your home and means you will never walk in the dark in your garden again. When no movement is detected for 10 seconds, the lamp will switch back to low brightness. Would you prefer the light to only switch on when you walk past and remain off otherwise? Which wattage should I choose?
Certain areas, such as a driveway or garden path, require more light. Functionality and safety are the priority here. Less bright lighting is more suitable for illuminating a garden. In this case, the goal is to create mood lighting.
Depending on your setting, you can choose a lamp with a stronger or softer light effect. The light intensity of the lamp is expressed in watts. The wall lights are available in different wattages: 1.5 watts, 3.2 watts, 5 watts and 6.8 watts. The higher the wattage, the brighter the light from the lamp. Are you looking for mood lighting? Then choose a lamp with a lower wattage, for example 1.5 watts or 3.2 watts. Do you need practical lighting? Then select a lamp with a higher wattage, such as 5 watts and 6.8 watts.
What light source does a solar wall light use?
All our Solar wall lights are equipped with an integrated LED light source, so you can be sure that the right light source is already in the lamp. The colour temperature of the light source is 2000 Kelvin, which stands for warm white light.
How long does a Solar wall light stay lit?
Depending on the type of wall lamp you choose, a solar wall light will stay on for up to 5 nights after the lamp has had a day to charge.
Is the Solar wall light water-resistant?
All our solar lights have an IP65 rating. This means that the lights are suitable for outdoor use and are protected against water jets. You can therefore place the wall lamp in your garden with confidence. Read more about the IP ratings of lamps here.
